Others think this way too

This link at Blender Nation is about using blender to directly control a robot which generates the CNC output and this picture is a snapshot from the video, which is very entertaining as it shows all the steps from simply drawing the picture to controlling the robot to produce the real world product.

So it is blender -> matter in a different way than I propose, but it works.
