Brains in Brains

This is the second problem I am resolving. It is the reasonable assumption that Amoebas were the prototypical early animal and developed a brain in the cell. Due to limitations of measurement and tools it was not possible to look deeply enough to see how that is achieved. It follows logically ( to me ) that this explains how a human brain can be so complex and strange. It acts like a Beowulf cluster of trillions of computers that can move about in their connections, somewhat like Internet routing and BGP.

It is consistent and explains something that I find impossible. The genotype to phenotype expression of instinct, reflex and other aspects of intelligence cannot be explained in the gross anatomical structure of the organism. The "gate" chemical logic of a neuron cannot be configured to have the type of intelligence exhibited by even the dullest of people. It also solves the issue of short term memory and the construction of scenarios that become instantiated in the cell and then the cell actually acts to create an image of itself in the large. This accounts for the rough consideration which happens at a chemical computer level and then the expansion to cover more complexity.

It also explains why people can develop some very bizarre concepts which become instantiated in their minds. On first inspection, in the cell, requires some time to be expanded and tested and as such could be falsified. Failure to falsify concepts that were considered by limited analysis leads to any number of bad paths. It also allows the construction of communicated scenarios that seem to make "sense" in the moment, but later are discovered to be falsifiable. Human engineering. It is some scary stuff and I need to make my AI help me with this weakness.

In the case of the ant we have a really interesting and bizarre situation, should this be confirmed. A brain in the cell that combines to be a brain in the ant which is part of a free roaming society that acts as the cloned brain structure of the queen, which acts in the context of multiple interacting colonies to be a global super brain. The only other system like that is: cell brain to human brain to internet.

This does seem reasonable to me after several days of analysis and extension with attempts to falsify the concept. I will expand on the concept and attempt to diagram the various aspects of how a cell processes a concept and then instantiates that in the neural matrix. It has implications in psychology and neural science and it seems that this is one of those places where somebody looked in the darkness of possibility and failed to image what strange structure could hide in the deeps of even something as small as a cell. 10 microns across is 10¹⁵ cubic angstroms and a lot of strange things can go on in such a complex space. That is not even to mention that there is structure well below an angstrom in matter that could potentially contain some new revelation.

This is perhaps the perfect April Fools Day post as it represents the logic behind the fact that concepts can seem reasonable on first inspection, but if a person fails be skeptical of every thing they encounter, it allows the acceptance of concepts as bizarre as religion and cults.

I see slashdot is in "party" mode and LHC ( Actually the large HARDON collider ) has discovered the devil particle. Be skeptical of all things on all days is my motto. ( Even if I think them up )

I do believe the internal cell brain hypothesis could be tested with a sufficiently small creature and NMR. If over a period of days, a specific cell expanded to a specific structure in response to a stimulus, Then if that were repeated with several ants, as their structure is well known. [ See Fly Brain project and others ] I do think that it would be worth funding if some grad student is looking for something to do for a thesis.

It explains why after NMR structure of the fly brain was completed, it did not end up with a way to duplicate the system in neural arrays.

This concept seems to be correct after some analysis. It would imply that the ability to be "intelligent" or IQ could be measured in the cell itself and not the brain in the large. The complexity of cellular brain determines how it will expand in association and thus many people can reason more complexly in their initial analysis. So it seems that intelligence could be "gene doped". That is a scary thought itself. It seems to imply that some cases of mental retardation could be solved with gene doping. This also explains why some neurological disorders are so difficult to diagnose.

If this isn't odd enough, I think that it is possible that this was done on purpose and comes from something even deeper. Now I have to wonder why? This explains and provides a mechanism for so many different unusual effects that I find it hard to deny. It doesn't explain everything but it does allow a framework that makes it possible to understand how these things operate in a brain. I need to take this information back to the cell and see what these threads of thought are composed of.

Consider the strangeness of a stem cell that thinks and knows how to deal with a situation. I may not have to make a mitochondrial OS after all, I may just need to be able to gene dope a change to the built in microcoded brain.

This is very interesting and the work confirms many of the opinions I have developed about the origin, nature and types of interactions that take place in the brain. It is certainly a young science, as many of the techniques to study the structure is only one generation old. Before anybody can even consider how quantum entangle ment could affect the function of the system, it needs to be fully characterized at the gross process level. Some very interesting information there and when integrated with other unrelated fields it yields new insights.

What is particularly interesting to me is endogenous neural activity, as it originates deep in the cell and can possibly interact with the universe at its most basic level that involves the infinitely variable interaction of the universe in electromagnetic and even gravity or undiscovered methods of material interaction.

Three dimensional mind

New information about neuropsin as a key difference in the human brain is interesting.

I have been cleaning up my understanding of XML and how programs are generated with XML. CSS, XUL, and xml-stylesheets. There is a basic relationship there about the relationship of information. Inherent in a mind is the idea of a two dimensional view of the world created by binaural and binary optic effects. The universe is three dimensional. I can see how neural arrays can coordinate 2-D information easily, however real 3-D understanding may only come from a new type of neural array mechanism.

There is a bizarre new technology which I think is really freaky because it begs to be abused. An interface that is driven by a computer is connected to a rat's brain and influences its solutions to problems by providing neural stimulation for positive results from the perspective of the experimenter and it works. It is exactly like implanting a neural stimulator in the pleasure, anger, and pain centers of the brain to modify behavior to be controlled by an external machine or person. This begs to be used as mind control for people by those who cherish power over others.

The idea that some members of the species have developed a pattern of eliminating their biological competitors by various means of deception and force is not likely to go away easily. It certainly must, as it is a remnant of evolutionary pressure that is counter to the potential of the human race to determine its own path outside of selecting individuals by the death of others. Tribal instincts also play into this process and I wonder if humans can deal with their own mental limitations when presented with unlimited power?

I seems strange that many people fall down in a virtual hypnotic state when faced with economic crisis. It reminds me of sheep being hypnotized by tipping them over. The reality of the world goes away and they believe everything they are told. I think this is a continuous process that is reinforced by governments and institutions to maintain their position over the minds of common people. When the world is considered to be in an economic crisis, there is absolutely no difference in the matter, structure or energy. The difference arises from the fact that economic control has failed and it is necessary to motivate people to produce more for those who collect from the activity of individuals. I think this is definitely the last go round for that. Once it is possible to integrate the super computers built by the labors of the people, with the robots that can now build themselves, .... people will be obsolete and likely to deleted by those who can have power without manipulating people. It is a problem when you let somebody get their hands around your throat and then no longer need you. Those who seek power do so for their own reasons and are the most dangerous enemy of life itself. The value of human life has been decaying since the industrial revolution. The last barrier of replacing the common man with machines is approaching and the tools available to clean the world of those who are not members of the elite are quite elegant. It seems obvious that if an elite minority wanted to have the world for themselves that they would need computers, robots, and tools to dispose of the inferiors.

It is hard to say how long it will be ( if ever ) that such a thing might happen. Many things are disturbing the balance of nature and there is a new brain to brain interface being developed. The thing that makes me think that governments are moving ever closer to an oligarchy supported by machines or bio-controlled organism is just the vector of the past behavior. Government creeps to control ever aspect of the life of the inferiors.

The brain and chemical warfare

Some new research today has identified the area of the brain responsible for "trust" which means mind control. Also the effects of airborne oxytocin or injected oxytocin also have the same effect apparently. I am not sure this is good or bad. I can see why biological and chemical warfare was banned. What I don't understand is why the US and other countries do not follow the ban. It is a messy subject and maybe it has no resolution, I wonder if a fire ant that used oxytocin instead of formic acid would be more effective survivor. "Trust the ants." I am sure that the gene for oxytocin in an ant would tax it's survivability in some way. What if ants used the technique of plants and maybe LSD-25 instead. I just wonder how long it will be before oxytocin spray is used as a crowd control or dating tool. Definitely an odd world we live in. Recent research was released by University of Zurich.
