The Telltale Fart of Edgar Allen Poe

I am still astounded by the number of people who are willing to share their expertise on blender and produce extremely detailed and well produced tutorials. Much like linux, gimp, and inkscape, the process of sharing and educating others is built into the process of blender. I could not do a better tutorial on animation than this one at Dark Scarab. I would include an image, but there is ample information at the link on the process. I started the tutorial by downloading the .blend and had an animated door in 15 seconds. The key strokes of interest are "i" ( which looks much like an l or L or 1 with the font they use ) at that point you select "loc" from the menu and when you have completed ( adding what to do at what time which is well explained there ) that you press the "control+a""alt+a" keys simultaneously to start animation. I hit escape to end animation, however, other things may end the animation.

As an aside and to provide my little blip to help, here is a little tidbit:

The IPO (InterPOlation) system.
The IPO system consists of standard motion curves.
The IPO system also has relevant implication in Path animations.

IPO is a complex subject and I am unable to make a generalization about the whole of it yet. I am trying to be organized and use an XML document that can be converted to an HTML or book or PDF any coherent set of distributable document that describes the process of gaining knowledge of the tool sets (gimp blender etc.) and how to apply that knowledge with ample visual, code, files, and examples.

If you have never used blender before, you may have to take a step back and get familiar with the concept of the user interface which is a bit daunting, but very intuitive and quick, once it is practiced. As far as the name of the post, I have made a beating heart animation with this new knowledge.

UPDATE: I added a snapshot just to show I am not kidding about a "telltale" heart. You can see the edited IPO and the heart is seen when you animate or approach in game mode. One thing that may not be clear is that the CAMERA is the person in game mode and you must select "0" on the numpad keys to view the images from the camera perspective before entering play mode with the "p" key.

This came into my head this morning and if I post it I will forget it.

While I was sleeping,
It came a creeping,
I bought some some tacos at the store,
Will I fart?, evermore.

Okay I shouldn't post when I first wake. Correction.
