Sometimes the pessimist

I like the idea of natural energy and such, but I have a sneaky feeling that if you stop all the wind that passes over the farm land, when the sun shines it will heat the crops and soil and the heat will not move through convection and then it will turn farmland to desert. When all the wind energy is extracted we may wish for a breeze and have none. Perhaps we should just use less electricity, walk more, drive less, and enjoy what we have, rather than continually looking to suck every bit of energy out of everything.
