I am thinking (fluid CAD system) + (assembly method) + (each part is capable of being a contractor, relay neuron, structural, or chemical factory) + ( integrated central process ) = liquid being that is capable of looking like anyone and could operate as well at the bottom of the ocean as it would in the vacuum of space or in a normal situation.
I never thought that some of the science speculation / cartoons could ever be real, because it was just too convenient to have an evil genius or super hero that morphed into a spider to climb buildings. It just seemed to be a dramatic technique to interest the viewer and I never thought that it might actually be possible. I doubt we will have street wars between the Wolverine and the dark spirit, but you never really know.
