If you pound a nation back to the stone age and hang the president, would that be considered a win? I don't understand what they are winning. I never heard anybody say that they intended to extend the policies of the US in Iraq.Apparently they win the war when the government is a local puppet again that will wage war against Iran as a surrogate while we supply weapons. Isn't that how this started in the first place?
You can't win a war if you have killed everybody and there is nobody to surrender, it is just over and you either own it or leave it to rot. Obviously this is a thinly veiled sideways war with Iran.
