Trust and politics

The fact that the government feels that the people who inhabit the nation are not to be trusted, is a mere stone's throw away from the concept that they cannot be trusted to decide who they want for public office. This is all that Mugabe is saying, he wants free elections, but he doesn't want people to vote for the opposition as that would be wrong. It seems to be a simple equation, I am good and therefore if you think something different, you are bad. It is the darn people that get in the way of progress for a better world. I guess it is just a matter of perspective. A better world for whom.
