Bride of Infinity

Hair in blender 2.6x is actually fairly simple to create and use. There is a learning curve and it can be frustrating to grasp the complex interactions. The steps I took was to create a vertex group, enable particles, select hair, go to groups slot at the bottom of particles section and select that group in the text box and DON'T SELECT the check box next to it, as it "negates", then you have hair and can go to object mode and select particles to modify it, like : combing, length, fluff etc.... Also there is physics, but that is another story.
Oh my, Alice Infinity is a ging! "Ging. An abbreviation for ginger. a person with no soul, red hair, pale skin, and freckles."
The video is a box that I added hair to, and then added a vortex object to point at it, then I pressed "Alt and a" to get animation and recorded it with "Simple Screen Recorder". It would seem that it would make a very nice grass texture as well as fur or many other things. Actually pretty impressive that the physics is so life like.
