I have some new techniques to combine with this. Jeri Ellsworth seems to have a good grasp of the process. There are some other DIY things like spattering and semiconductor magnetron that are worth looking at.
This is an interesting design for a DIY electric helicopter at e-volo. It is nice to see that somebody is doing new and innovative technology.
