Turnstile democracy

Red light cameras are supposed to stop people from running red lights. I would guess that it has nothing to do with having and enforcing laws, but a way to get revenue and collect information for tax purposes. I would say that eventually they will check to see if tags are current on the vehicles and send notice and fine for vehicle registration as well as overdue parking tickets and insurance violations. If they wanted to stop people from having collisions then they would install some type of turnstile that guaranteed order. It seems to me that they used to have traffic cops do that and in fact they still do that in other countries. If you don't expect all people to stop at a red light, why even have them. It creates an unreasonable expectation for people who want to cooperate for some common purpose.
