This article at advanced nano implies there may be a major change in memory speed and cost that could catch other companies on the short end of the stick ( joke, stick ram ). It seems that they are promoting a non-volatile ram that operates at the 5 nanosecond range. I have said before that memory companies should take the leap and begin making CAM and this might be a good time to take a leap, before they are pushed off a technological cliff.
