An interesting turn in open source information is the sale of product. I guess I can't disagree with this. Open source must be viable and any model that can support it without destroying the underlying principles is necessary. This article says it all. So long as the process itself is not subverted, the need to support the process is inherent. The resale of information from wikileaks by news media seems a violation of the information itself. It seems if a news media uses my blog or any other open source information, they are obligated to note that they are simply reselling that which is public in the same way that I might sell an open source program like sauerbraten or cube2 which is awesome BTW.
