It is possible to travel back in time if you know how to do it. In many ways we always live back in time if we can see what consequence our actions predict.
There has been much said that DX10 beats OpenGL3.0 in terms of speed and flexibility. The monolithic approach of most gain for least effort in a short sighted manner is the "Way of the Wintel" and all monopolies. The creation of profit in the short term destroys the possibility of using the same technology in other areas and effectively kills the potential uses of shared technology before they are born. I watched "Sarah Connors Chronicles" last night and it was so unimaginative in its presentation. The screen writers should get some fresh blood from the Onion or xkcd and make some real TV or better yet, turn off the TV and just scan Wired, slashdot, Boing Boing , PodBlack and hundreds of other channels of more creative thought.
The idea that a female cyborg is capable of dealing with temporal spatial relationships and not grasping social concepts is like the ultimate "Teen Wolf ( Terminator )" ( ZOMG my body is changing, WTF, I'm like a Valley Girl android. ) puberty parody.
