This world needs a Dr Who

I have considered the idea of a guild which acts for the furtherance of interests of life and perhaps it is not such a bad idea to have a society that acts to maintain stability and harmony in a world that is becoming so complex that nobody can predict what might happen in a nanosecond and that makes living in the fog of uncertainty a hazardous drive.

I have identified two serious flaws in ideas exposed by the military of US and Russia today and one does not expect them to act with foresight, but the scale and complexity of weapons creates new side effects that rushing into battle with an ax does not. The single franchise scenario of T2 is merely a drop in the probability sea and many of the consequences of large scale deployment of poorly researched concepts leads to uncertainty in results. Playing at war is not as funny and entertaining as in WoW, because space pirates have no rules.
