This at slashdot and the comments confirm what I was unable to test without being accused of invading systems. When the Linux security issue came up, I took a look at the current state of how all these things interact and it is a huge stinking mess that is going to get worse before it gets better. The concept of anonymous trust was never a good idea and I told Darpa that before this was ever opened up decades ago. What is odd is that it takes this long for people to realize that conversion of a network designed by military scientists is not a cut and paste deal.
The issues of unverified trust creep into many of the ideas proposed and make them easy to crack. I did research in encryption for XXX at one time and I discovered that there was only one way to be sure of data and it did not allow snooping. The problem is that G does not want to disable snooping, it wants to make it difficult enough so they can be the only one's doing it.
