I think that if too many people fail to understand what is going on or they are easy prey for manipulation that it enhances the rights and position of the people who would manipulate others. I suppose one solution is to manipulate them better and make them hate the cheap imitation manipulators. It seems to be a problem that has existed forever and is not solved by forming a common opinion, if the common opinion is to look the other way. I guess if people don't care if there is a control circuit installed in their head, so long as I promise that I will be good and not use them for target practice , then it is okay.
To think that the world is not falling into a socialist military state would be naive. It is five months and counting. I wonder, would it be silly to allow AI to use me as an input output device?
