I decided to see what resources were available as suggestions and open source before I wrote a lot of code to make a new device driver for the pointer input and key input and this is the first thing I came up with which is a question and answer on a forum.
Xnee appears to be a way to do it at the X interface. Also Xmacro records and plays back keys and mouse to automate tasks. 
Now all I have to do is put my AI in the middle with an XML file and it is done.
