Medical Boing

This article at Boing is very interesting and does describe the operation of cancer in a clear way and delves into the issue of the chaos of life which leads to many new situations because of the basic direction of life itself. I have been trying to quantify and define that certain 'something' that defines the force of life and I have not been able to create a good model of that vector which is the principle which guides the frantic expansion and complexity. I can look at the mechanisms of AIDs and see that it has GAG POL and ENV and how these interact with the system that they find themselves, but the thing which I sense to be behind seems to always elude a clear definition for me at least.
