<sparse comedy> Apparently from Wired there is rumor control and there have been no dramatic results from the Mars Phoenix and this is certainly going to fuel even more rumors that there is a cover up. Apparently the whole thing stems from the fact that the mold has gotten so heavy on the instruments they can no longer reliably detect life.
I wonder if anybody even thought of a very simple experiment that would be cheap and I use often in the lab. It is called a petri dish and if you have a camera, you let the test subject do the work. Life has a way of replicating which seems to be a very common characteristic and maybe is it's defining factor.
